For the wings:

  • 1 kg chicken wings (drums and flats)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil (for baking or air frying)

For the sticky soy garlic sauce:

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for slurry)
  • Optional: chili flakes for heat

  1. Prep the wings: Pat dry and marinate with soy sauce, salt, pepper, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
  2. Bake or air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden.
  3. Make the sauce: In a pan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, vinegar. Simmer for 3–4 mins.
  4. Add the cornstarch slurry, stir until thick and sticky.
